Hotel Simius Playa

The food was delicious, almost gourmet in style, and the servings were more than enough. We went full board, and it was worth upgrading. Cocktails at both the lobby bar and beach bar were tasty and properly made. The hotel has its own beach and beach bar, and the beach is one of the island’s must-see spots. There’s no restroom there, but if you need one, you can always go back to the hotel. The hotel is privately owned and managed, with a cosy boutique feel and a small, magical garden. Our room had been renovated to the latest standards, with a nice walk-in wardrobe, a medium-to-large bathroom, a king-size bed and a small balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The location is great, almost right on the beach, and about a 10-minute walk from the town centre. The pool is small, but with warm, crystal-clear sea nearby, who needs it? There’s a nice snorkelling or spearfishing spot just offshore from the hotel beach, marked by a buoy. A fantastic stay in a fantastic place. We’re definitely coming back.

Beautiful grounds and rooms, with the beach just a few steps away. It’s an incredibly romantic place, tucked away from the usual crowds and perfect for a beach getaway. Chair and umbrella service costs extra, though I feel it should be included for resort guests. Most people were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially the wait staff, and the dining room was run very efficiently. We’d 100% stay again. Just be aware that not everyone speaks good English, which was fine by me.

The white sand on the beach was really clean, and the water was beautifully clear, with no plastic or anything else in it. We’ve been home for four days now and already miss the hotel atmosphere. I think we’ll come back soon. We stayed for a week and everything was amazing. The restaurant staff were helpful and professional, especially the waiter Antonino, who tried to meet every wish. We had half board and loved the food. Breakfast was more Italian-style, with lots of cakes, while lunch in the garden restaurant and dinner were both excellent.

The restaurant was a highlight, with heavenly food and outstanding flavours. Every meal felt like a culinary masterpiece. Right outside was a spectacular beach, with crystal-clear water and pristine sand that made for a peaceful place to relax. The property itself is beautiful, and we were struck by it as soon as we arrived. Tonino and Enrico, in particular, made our stay memorable with their professionalism and attentive service. The whole experience exceeded what we expected, and I can’t wait to return.
