Verdemare Sardegna Due

The owner and staff were genuinely kind and helpful. We arrived late on the first day, and a smiling employee was there to hand us the keys. When we found a toilet problem the next morning, the owner quickly moved us to another apartment. The property is very close to the sea, about 5 minutes from the fantastic Simius beach, and much cheaper than other places nearby, so it could suit people who aren't too picky. It has real potential but feels neglected. The entrance to the apartment needs a full overhaul, and the bathroom is ugly and could use a makeover. The bedroom is simple, with a safe, but the lamps aren't visible.

I don't normally write negative reviews, but I wish I'd found a recent, honest one before booking. The garden is nice and the location near Simius beach is perfect. The rest was awful. The furniture, walls, and bathroom are old, and we had no hot water for the whole stay. We had to use an outdoor shower, but on the last day even that wasn't available. The pool was closed for maintenance on three of our four days. We found a huge cockroach on the last day and only saw it again the next day. If we'd seen it earlier, we would have left. The beds and pillows were terrible, and we didn't sleep well even once. Never again.

We had everything to ourselves at the end of the season, and our three-week stay was exactly the relaxing, eco-friendly break we wanted. The price was really good for that. This is a lovely little residence just steps from the sea. The basic villas have what you need, including a private bathroom, a separate bedroom and kitchen, a barbecue, and a nice terrace looking over the lush, well-kept garden. Sadly, it was time to leave our beautiful villa and go back to work. Highly recommended.
