We only spent one night here with our two children, but we'd happily come again. The central, convenient location added to the warm, welcoming feel. Stella and Berto were lovely, helpful hosts. The breakfasts were delicious, and the hospitality was fantastic. Stella and Berto are wonderful, cheerful people, and the place is clean, welcoming, and right in the heart of Villetta Barrea. It's a beautiful B&B in one of Abruzzo's most magical spots, just steps from the Sangro River and a gorgeous, unspoiled natural setting.

Stella and Berto welcomed us so warmly, and the homemade breakfast was delicious. The room was clean, warm, and inviting. In a small village just a few meters from the Sangro River, this little B&B is a fantastic choice for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature. Highly recommended!

Berto was the only owner we met, and he was delightful, friendly, kind, and so helpful. He suggested places to see, helped us plan our stay, and served a great breakfast each morning with food Stella had made while she was away. He was also so affectionate with Nora, our Shiba Inu dog, a lively, affectionate red "little fox." Thanks, Berto, for the lovely welcome and delicious yogurt, and thanks, Stella, for the delicious desserts you left for us. Il Rifugio is a cheerful, charming B&B right in the center of Villetta Barrea, in a completely renovated old three-story house. The decor is colorful and lively, with lots of wooden things, many made by the owners. Our room was a symphony of orange, with yellow touches that cheered you up just by looking at it.
