Colle da Vinci feels like a home away from home, and I go every year. Tuscany is beautiful on its own, but this place makes it even better. The modern, clean apartments are in a rustic farmhouse with breathtaking hill views, and the infinity pool looks like it's straight off a postcard. Set among olive trees, it's about 40 minutes from Florence and 15 minutes from the highway, so it's a great base for exploring the region, visiting markets, cooking feasts, swimming or just relaxing. The people welcome you like family and help with whatever you need.

The hostess, Isabel, was caring and very nice, and the house had what we needed, including a comfortable bed and a fancy bathroom. Outside, there's plenty to enjoy, especially the cool pool on the hillside. The views are wonderful and the location is good. Vinci is nearby, with coffee and pastries at the first corner and some very good local restaurants elsewhere in town. Since the weather wasn't warm enough, it would have been nice if the indoor temperature had been a little higher.

The view from the apartment among the olive trees is priceless. The place was very clean, and Isabell was incredibly friendly and helpful. We decided at the last minute to stay an extra night, and it was no trouble at all. Everything was super easy. The only thing we missed was having more glasses and cutlery. Fantastic stay, we'd love to come back. :-)
