Le Mimose B&B

The grounds were lovely, with farm animals and cats that our boy couldn't get enough of, and the hosts were wonderful. It’s handy for the park and ride if you’re taking the train to Pisa, Florence, or the beach, and driving yourself is another option. The location worked well as a base for those places or for exploring around Tuscany. Our room was adequate. There’s a shared dining area and kitchenette upstairs, plus a shared balcony. Breakfast is served downstairs and includes some things from the farm. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting.

We had a really nice stay among the olive trees, just two minutes from Vinci. The area is beautiful. The lovely host has local extra virgin olive oil and wildflower honey, so be sure to pick some up 😉

Donatella is what made Le Mimose feel so welcoming. Staying with her was like being at a much-loved grandparent's home, and her kindness showed in all the little details. We spent six nights there and enjoyed every bit of it. The B&B is tucked away in a peaceful spot, yet the major cities are within reach, about an hour by car from Firenze, Pisa, Livorno, Siena, and Lucca. We'd certainly find our way back to this calm, lovely place, especially for Donatella's hospitality.

You'll need a car to get anywhere, unless you're just walking around the beautiful countryside. The room was quite small, but this is a great place to stay out here. The hosts were very nice, breakfast was great, and the prices were affordable.
