B&B La Palanzana

I’ve travelled for work and pleasure for years, and never before have I had to sleep in what felt like a garage. The basement room was dark and damp, there was no breakfast, and the price was outrageous. I complained to the owner, but got nowhere. They were arrogant and just cited the place's legality. I paid every cent, but I’ll keep telling people how arrogant this host was.

The homemade breakfast with local products was absolutely divine, and the property itself is magnificent, surrounded by greenery. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Claudio and his family are passionate and knowledgeable, and the hospitality and cleanliness are real strengths. We didn't try the aperitif, though it looked delicious. We'll definitely return.

The rooms smelled of mold and seemed to have been made from a garage. One had no window, and the other only a small high-up one. There was no real breakfast, just water for tea and coffee at an extra cost, which doesn't match what the website says. The location is very nice and quiet, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room was the one letdown: there was no air conditioning or even a fan to help with the heat. Everything else was lovely, from the large, well-kept garden to the warm, friendly welcome. It's very peaceful and a great place to relax. I’d stay again.
