Best Western Hotel Viterbo

The breakfast had plenty of choices and the service there was great. I stayed for two weeks on a work trip and found the rooms very clean, though the bathroom felt a little dated. The hotel itself was a pleasant place to stay. I walked to old Viterbo, which took about 20 minutes, but the route isn't very pedestrian-friendly. Driving and using one of the public lots near the old town is easier.

We thought €300 for two double rooms for one night was a bit steep. The rooms themselves were very spacious, and breakfast was fine. The decor felt dated, with nicotine-colored wallpaper and plenty of red and gold. There was a faint smell in the corridor, as if someone had been smoking, but our rooms didn't smell that way.

I’d have liked a mini kettle in the room for making coffee, and maybe a restaurant on site. We had to go to nearby restaurants, since the hotel only offers outside catering for groups booked in advance. The hotel was good otherwise, and I’d recommend it. One funny moment: an English guest asked a server who didn’t know English for bacon and got sent to the bar for some reason.

The breakfast was very good, but we were woken in the middle of the night by noisy neighbors. The rooms have no soundproofing, and the bathroom layout wasn't well designed.
