Alla Ghigliotta

That covered terrace was our favorite spot. With its table and sofas, it felt like another living room, sheltered from rain, mosquitoes, and outside views by a lovely “flower wall.” The apartment is spacious and sits partly into the hillside, in the basement of the house, so it stayed fairly comfortable even in hot weather. There’s no A/C, though, which is probably the one drawback. Inside, there’s a huge living, dining, and cooking area, plus a bedroom and bathroom. It’s well equipped and decorated, and you can tell the owner also runs an amazing flower and decoration store in the village center. Guests have covered private parking nearby. Dogs are welcome, and can run freely in the securely fenced garden. Just past the garden, there’s a road and then a small sandy beach on the lake. The town’s restaurants are good and easy to get to, though we also enjoyed making typical Italian food ourselves. We’d happily stay here again if we return to the area.
