Corte Onida

After a full day of sightseeing, Corte Onida is a lovely spot to unwind. It’s set among cornfields, with a pretty garden and a large pool, and the location also makes excursions easy. I’ve stayed several times, using the single and double rooms as well as an apartment, and every stay has been perfect. Breakfast is delicious, and dinner is excellent too if you book ahead. The owners are friendly and helpful. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The property itself is lovely, but it’s badly looked after. Our room was attractive and exceptionally dirty, with dust balls and cobwebs everywhere and a toilet so encrusted the bottom was black. We stayed in early October after finding it on Booking.com while searching for pet-friendly agritourism. At best, I’d call it a B&B. We couldn’t bring ourselves to use the shower. Breakfast was included, but even that was hard to enjoy with greasy, dirty glasses. Never again!

We had a lovely cycling holiday here one summer, quite a while ago. It wasn’t busy, so having the pool to ourselves was a real pleasure. The village is close by, which made the location ideal. Rooms are simple but perfectly okay, and the owners were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help.

The room was clean and a good size, and breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly, and guests can use the pool. The bathroom could do with some improvement. It’s a beautiful, peaceful location, while still being close to the tourist attractions.
