Belvedere Regina

The hotel could use some updating, but the staff are excellent. From housekeeping to reception and the breakfast team, everyone went beyond the usual service to make us feel at home. We were very happy with our stay.

We had a quiet stay in April, with very few tourists around, and Ischia felt like a secluded little gem in the Mediterranean. It’s only a quick ferry ride from Naples. I stayed six nights in April 2018, and the location worked perfectly for me: about 100 metres from the pedestrian area, but not right on it, near interesting Ischia Ponte and Castello Aragonese, and within walking distance of the ferry, beaches, restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The main restaurant serves a good range of high-standard food, and breakfast was great, more than enough. There’s a very nice outdoor pool too. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay. The place was spotless, friendly and comfortable, and close to the centre. Our huge private balcony looked over a green garden. Breakfast was good, and there were plenty of power points and lights.

The room was tiny and not clean, and when we had a problem the director was offensive and offered no support. The rest of the staff were friendly, and the location is close to everything.
