One of the best places we've stayed. The apartments are great, spacious, and the host is friendly. It's also a handy base for seeing local sights like Volterra or San GImignano. Recommended!

The host was very friendly, and there was suitable space for our four-legged friends. Still, the property didn't quite live up to the photos on the website. The lower parts of some apartments and the ones in the courtyard need finishing, and there's more dirt than greenery. It's at the foot of a hill, so it gets less light than farmhouses up on similar hills. Our apartment had no phone service or internet. Management said the Starlink they'd installed that day wasn't working very well, and we couldn't even make WhatsApp calls. It's also not especially close to the centre of Volterra. The property has plenty of potential, but it felt quite different from the pictures.
