It’s right in Volterra’s historic center, and the recent renovation shows in how well kept the place is. The directions for the on-site check-in and check-out were excellent. A luggage storage option would help, though. As it is, guests may have to carry their bags about 1 km up stairs and over cobblestones to reach the property.
Such a lovely place. The weather was a shame, but I’ll definitely come back.
The apartment was spacious, really clean and cozy, in a quiet part of Volterra’s old town. We were treated so warmly and everyone was friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommend it!
Volterra is known for its alabaster and has a medieval feel, with old walls and an Etruscan heart. Its hilltop position looks out over the landscape. The town has an Etruscan Acropolis and a Roman Theater, and it’s also famous for the Twilight film series.
The cars driving through the area make the air hard to breathe. I can’t tell whether Milan or Volterra is worse.
