We had the little house to ourselves for ten days at Villa Caggio, and would happily come back. Simona and her family were so welcoming and friendly. She was always available when we had questions and suggested some really nice things to do in Volterra. The pool was cleaned every day, and our bedding and towels were changed halfway through the stay. We enjoyed the whole visit. Grazie mille!

If you're after a comfortable place with a rural Tuscany feel, I can fully recommend staying here. The owner family lives on site and was very friendly and supportive. A wonderful spot for a holiday.

A beautiful property, and the pool gets cleaned every morning. The landlady is friendly and helpful, often checking whether everything's all right or we need anything. It's tucked away from the main road, so it's very quiet, but Volterra and the surrounding towns are still easy to reach.

Even without air conditioning, the apartment stays pleasantly cool. It's spacious and clean, with high ceilings that make it feel nice inside, and the location among Tuscany's rolling hills is just right for a quiet, relaxing break. The landlady was friendly and helpful, with lots of good suggestions for excursions and restaurants nearby. We'd love to return. There were no barking dogs in the summer of 2024...

The unpaved road to Villa Caggio from the main road is about 1 km, a bit bumpy and tough on the shock absorbers. You get used to it, though, as you do to the car getting dusty. And walking into Volterra isn't recommended: there's no footpath and the road is quite narrow. That said, we were completely satisfied and would definitely come back. The setting is beautiful, near the city but quiet in a nature-filled valley. Our first-floor apartment was lovely, clean, and well maintained, with a beautiful garden and pool. The hosts were wonderful, and it's ideal if you're traveling with a dog.
