We used his map every day while we were in Tuscany. It marked sights, parking suggestions and restaurants, with five different routes for day trips, and the property also had research information for visitors. When my wife booked Villa Rioddi on booking.com, the owner soon messaged us to ask where we were coming from and when to expect us. That care made her feel looked after, and on arrival you could sense how much love had gone into the whole place. It's beautiful, well kept, and set up thoughtfully for guests. His family makes breakfast every day, with homemade dishes, fresh coffee and delicious cakes. He explained how breakfast worked on our first morning, and the dishes were labeled in several languages. They had whatever kind of coffee you wanted and served it promptly. We stayed on the third floor, looking out over the hills. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom worked perfectly for us, and the fridge was filled for us each morning. As an American, I came away thinking Tuscany is about as close to a perfect place as Earth gets. I’ll tell plenty of people about our stay, and we’ll come back!

The breakfast was outstanding, especially the beautiful cakes made with so much care. This lovely villa in Volterra brought me the real joy of traveling. If you're visiting Tuscany, I'd make it your first stop. You're incredibly lucky if you get to stay at this wonderful hotel.

We stayed one night in mid-April while on vacation in Tuscania. The views were gorgeous, breakfast was delicious, and Volterra was only a six-minute drive away. The owner was great, professional, and full of useful information.

We didn't stay nearly long enough at this lovely hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Luca made us feel at home and was a knowledgeable guide to tourism across northern Tuscany. Breakfast was delicious, with local produce, including pomegranates from the villa garden. We'll be back!

I spent a week on my own at hotel Villa Rioddi in October of 2024, and it was a dream. The peaceful nights, cleanliness, lovely views, and hospitable staff made the place feel almost like family. Each morning they served a different selection of amazing food, taking time to explain the dishes as guests arrived. They also made whichever coffee you wanted and brought it promptly. I walked into Volterra every day. There weren't many pathways, which made it a little risky, but the walk was pleasant and didn't take long. I'd highly recommend this place if you want quiet, beautiful views of Italy, and service that makes you want to return.
