Airone Wellness Hotel

We arrived just before 9pm, only to find the restaurant already closed and takeaway from a local place offered as the sole option. After a little over two hours here, I already regret booking. The room is very dated, with thick dust covering the furniture and lamps. The fold-out bunk for the kids hadn't been made, and there were no spare sheets or pillows. We had to call reception twice before each bed had both. The hotel bar was unattended too, and we waited ages for someone to show up. The only thing that seems assured is the stereotypical Italian laziness and rudeness. This is no 4-star hotel.

We were glad to have a private car park, so we felt comfortable leaving the car there. Spy was good too. The hotel itself was clean, with pleasant rooms and a roomy bathroom, and we enjoyed the very good breakfast. We stayed for three nights at the Airone wellness hotel and liked our visit. We recommend the place.

For our honeymoon, this was a particularly disappointing stay. Towels and tea weren't replenished when the room was serviced, and we had no keycard to activate the electricity in our room. The bathroom was clean but old, the facilities felt dated, and sound insulation was poor. The front desk staff came across as unfriendly and condescending. The hotel seems geared mostly toward group tours and didn't meet what I'd expect from a 4-star place. We expected better quality, especially for such a special occasion.

We were disappointed by a power problem that left some facilities out of order, and the stay fell short of what we expected. The pool and spa only open at 10:00 am, which feels late, while checkout is at 10:30 am, earlier than usual. That leaves little time to enjoy them on the last day. The hotel was nice and the service personnel were good, but the receptionist wasn't looking after us well. There were also calculation mistakes and we were charged more, so check the bill carefully.
