The location is ideal for visiting Etna, and the views of Etna and the Mediterranean Sea are magnificent. Since we paid €67 per night, I'd say it was good value for money. The rooms are clean and modern, and the breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel has a decent spa and a modern, spacious gym, but the wellness facilities were a bit underwhelming. Entry is limited to certain time slots and 70 minutes total per day, and you have to wear a swimming cap, which costs €3. The facilities were crowded. The outdoor pool was closed. They said there was no lifeguard, but I got the feeling they never have one and simply don't want to open the pool. Service could be better. Some staff members were cold and reserved, and only gave information if you kept asking. The rooms are also very noisy. The walls are thin, so you hear the elevator loudly, the air conditioning is loud, and the room isn't very dark at night.

Especially for our honeymoon, this was an extremely disappointing stay. The front desk staff were unfriendly and condescending. Our room didn't have a keycard for the electricity, and the facilities felt dated. The bathroom was clean but old, and sound insulation was poor. When the room was serviced, they didn't replace the towels or tea. The hotel seems mainly geared toward group tours and didn't meet the standards of a four-star hotel. It wasn't the quality we expected, especially for such a special occasion.

We arrived just before 9 p.m. and found the restaurant already closed, so the only option offered was ordering from a local takeaway menu. The room is extremely dated, and the furniture and lamps were under a thick layer of dust. The kids' fold-out bunk wasn't made up, and there were no spare sheets or pillows. We had to contact reception twice before each bed had a sheet and pillow. The hotel bar wasn't staffed. We waited ages for someone to show up. I've been here just over two hours and already regret coming. The only thing I can rely on is stereotypical Italian laziness and rudeness. This is not a four-star hotel.

We stopped here on our way back to town from Mt. Etna, and it was a great experience. The grounds looked superb, with a stunning view, and there's off-street parking, which is a real plus. There's a pool and lots of other places to enjoy, and I can only imagine how good the parties must be. Our room was superb, and we felt like royalty. The meals were beyond words, and breakfast the next morning was great, too. They pay special attention to dietary needs, with options for gluten-free and vegan diets. If you're after a spa treatment to soothe aching muscles, I'd recommend staying here. Enjoy your stay.

The hotel itself was nice, and the service staff were good, but the receptionist didn't take good care of us. They also made errors in the bill and were charging us too much, so be careful. Unfortunately, there was an electrical problem and some facilities weren't working, which left us disappointed. The pool and spa only open at 10 a.m., which feels late, and checkout is at 10:30 a.m., earlier than usual. You don't get much time to enjoy them on your last day. The stay was below our expectations.
