Blu Tropical Resort

The hotel was very well run and clean, with spacious, modern rooms and a short walk to the beach. The restaurant was superb, and Manu and Yulia were the sweetest, kindest waitresses. The staff overall were professional and accommodating, and the setting was fantastic. Such a joyful four days, one of the best experiences I’ve had. Thank you, blu Tropical.

The sea was magical, and we could see Stromboli at sunset while swimming or having dinner. The pasta pomodoro with n’duja is worth trying, and the food was great. We had sunbeds and one umbrella for two included with our apartment. Our rooms were clean and beautiful, set in a lovely garden full of trees and flowers, with a terrace. The apartment residence and hotel are separate but close to the beach, pool and restaurants. Breakfast meant walking uphill to the hotel. It was a nice walk for us, though the climb is a bit steep. In the apartment you can make breakfast, cook dinner and keep cold drinks. Service was fabulous, friendly and easy to reach. They helped arrange an anniversary dinner by the beach, with local gourmet food and wine at sunset, and supported us with activities and taxis. We’re very grateful for all the help during our stay. From the train station, it’s about a 5-10 minute walk to reception. With lots of bags, ask about a shuttle or taxi. We took a taxi to a larger supermarket to stock the fridge for a couple of days, which was worthwhile, but check its hours first. We had little time to shop because it closed soon after we arrived. The supermarket in Zambrone didn’t have much of what we needed. Bring snorkeling gear or other things you’ll want, or you’ll need to go elsewhere to find them. Also bring or buy shampoo, soap, dish supplies and toilet paper. Cleaning is every fourth day. The pharmacy was good, and the Gelato by the train station had excellent service, espresso and pastries. I’d recommend this for a relaxing holiday. For more activity, Tropea town and its beaches are easy to reach by car, train or taxi. Enjoy 🙏🏻❤️🇮🇹

We like this hotel a lot and would recommend staying here. The breakfast is generous and tasty, dinner is excellent, and the room and bathroom were cleaned with care. Everyone working there was friendly. A really fine place to stay.

The food was amazing, with fresh fish each day, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel right on the beach, a wonderful choice for a Calabria vacation.
