Our guide told Puccini's story really well and answered our questions. In the house-museum, you can see his piano, furnishings, paintings, documents, and keepsakes from his life, travels, and career. Giacomo Puccini was born here on December 22, 1858. He later became one of the best-known composers of all time, with operas including La Bohème, 𝙏𝙤𝙨𝙘𝙖, and 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙖 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙡𝙮.

The warm welcome from the staff made our visit even more memorable, especially when we realized I share the composer's name. We took a photo together, which was a lovely moment. The museum is a beautiful tribute to Puccini's life and music. Visiting his birthplace was unforgettable, and every room felt full of history and emotion. His legacy is presented with care.

I found the most interesting items were Puccini's piano in the first room, his letters to friends and family in the Kitchen, the portraits in the Dining room, and a 15kg (!!) costume from "Turandot". Some original furniture is still there too. The apartment where Puccini was born and lived until he was 22 has been carefully restored. Each room focuses on a different part of his life, and it was fascinating to learn about the man behind the creative genius. We visited as part of an organised event, though on your own you can go at your own pace and rent a tablet guide with lots of interactive information about the exhibits and more. ♿ Most of the museum is accessible, except for the Kitchen. There's a special lift from the entrance up to the floor with the apartment.

That charming young woman at the flat spoke fluent English and made the visit special. The audio guide's robot-like voice was horrible, so we suggest having her redo the voiceovers. Either way, it's definitely worth visiting the master's birthplace.

You can see the composer’s Steinway grand piano, four poster bed, old librettos, and costumes here. It’s an interesting look at the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini, the famous Italian opera composer. About half an hour is enough. The €9 entrance fee includes a short leaflet and information guide.
