Starlight Chalet

I loved the river hike, with Omar as our excellent guide, and the mountain views made this such a beautiful, relaxing retreat. The staff were great. The chef was kind and gracious, although the portions didn’t always match what was listed on the menu. Thank you, Starlight, for a really good stay.

The gardens are a delight, and the birds and surrounding nature are wonderful. We enjoyed the simple, tasty food and excellent coffee, and the staff were so lovely and welcoming, always ready to help. The beds were really comfortable, and the shower was good. Follow the directions they send you for the interesting drive through lovely countryside. I’d book a top-floor room for the amazing views and extra airiness. Don’t expect spa luxury, but it’s a comfortable stay with great people in a beautiful natural setting. We loved it here.

After a challenging journey through Blue Mountain, arriving to drinks and authentic BM coffee was a lovely welcome. Annika, Omar, Trelawny and Zoe helped us along the way and did a great job accommodating our birthday celebration requests at this beautiful 6.5 acre escape. Even with a few challenges, the staff put customer service and our safety first. As is normal in JA, not everything on the menu was available 😅, but Chef and our server Cudjoe went above and beyond to meet our requests and were truly empathetic about our travel troubles. Once you take in the view and surroundings, everything else melts away. This was our final stop in Blue Mountain National Park.

We hiked a lot, heading out to rivers and waterfalls, and the place felt so peaceful and beautiful. It’s like letting out a big sigh and getting back into nature. The food and staff were amazing too! 🫶
