The rooms were comfortable, the place felt safe, and the location was convenient. Staff were pleasant and excellent, and the value was great. I'll definitely come back.

I spent one night there, and that was one too many. The kitchenette was very dirty, and when I asked for a toaster, they told me to use a pot, so I used the soup pot. There was no breakfast. I even took pictures. For our takeout dinner, I asked for knives and was given just one to share with my friend. He said guests steal the aluminum knives, so that was all he had.

They charged my card before I arrived, even though the website said payment was to be made in person at the hotel, like other hotels. When I asked for a refund, they made excuses and wouldn't return my money. The website also advertised breakfast, but the front desk said they no longer serve it. There's no water, and the hotel is nowhere near food places or anything. I strongly suggest not booking here, especially if breakfast matters to you.

Jasmine Inn has been a good, affordable place for me to stay on several trips to Kingston. It's modest rather than luxurious, but quaint, clean, and safe. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, tile floors, and small wooden desks or furniture for your things. Each room is a little different, and some have kitchenettes for longer stays. I met some Mexicans staying in the junior suite for two months while doing IT work in town, and they were comfortable. The air conditioning is powerful and the free internet works wonderfully. There's no restaurant in the hotel, but the one across the street is a two-minute walk and welcomes Jasmine guests. The manager and staff are kind and accommodating. One morning I wasn't feeling well, so Wint, who handles security, the front desk, bell service, and just about everything else, collected food for me from across the street. He also offers to carry my bags whenever I'm coming or going. A few restaurants and bars, as well as National Stadium, where many events take place, are within walking distance. Uber also works well. Rides stayed under $900 JMD, about $6 US, except the airport trip, which was around $2,500, or $16 US. The shooting range next door startled me on my first morning, but it wasn't disturbing and closes around 4 or 5 pm. Apart from that, Jasmine is tucked into a quiet neighborhood of mostly homes and a few small businesses. For the price, friendly service, and location, Jasmine Inn is a winner for me.
