Kingsworth Bed and Breakfast

The views were the highlight for us. From our room we could look out over downtown Kingston and the Blue Mountains, and waking up to it felt almost like being in a rainforest. Even with all the rain, we found sunny stretches to walk around, hike, and explore the neighborhood roads. One nice walk: leave the property, turn left, and follow that road for about an hour and a half for some beautiful Jamaican views. My wife and I spent three days here in the rainy season and loved every part of the stay. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was nice each morning, and TJ took good care of us. The owner, Cortney, was charismatic and had fascinating stories. We enjoyed talking with him and hearing about Jamaican culture and heritage. There are several cats and dogs on the property, all loving and fun. I'd stay again. My girlfriend and I really loved it.

We only managed to book one night at the last minute, which was a shame. Our bird view room had a nice balcony facing the mountains, and there was a wonderful view over Kingston beside the pool-to-be. Courtney was a welcoming, friendly host who was always up for a chat. We enjoyed our meals with a cold beer.

The rooms also looked nothing like the online pictures: no fans, no colors, and stained sheets. The place is a full 20-minute drive into town, despite advertising 10 minutes. We booked a room for four, but on arrival they showed us a double and said no four-person room was available. They wanted us to pay the same amount again for a second double room. The owner was very rude throughout and walked away while we were trying to resolve it. We ended up paying double what we were supposed to. This feels like a bait-and-switch scam.

The views across Kingston and the Blue Mountains were impressive and almost magical. It's a calm, beautiful place, with clean rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was good, and there's a bar where you can get drinks and dinner. The owner was very nice, and we loved talking with him. I'd definitely recommend staying here. He also offers pickup from Kingston airport.
