Set just off the main road, the place is still close by and was very comfortable for our weeklong stay. The staff we dealt with were professional and really good, from the man opening the gate to the woman who checked us in, the housekeeper, and the kitchen team. We’d definitely recommend it to everyone.

A simple bed and breakfast, with everything needed for a short visit and nothing fancy. The parking is secure, and the place is quiet and private. Breakfast was great.

Kimona at reception was wonderful and very professional. The location is fantastic if you just need somewhere to sleep and aren’t particular about much. The rooms are basic; a fresh coat of paint and a few updates to the accessories would improve them.

We needed one more night after Spanish Court was fully booked, and the Shirley Hotel looked like a convenient choice on Expedia. We booked on the spot based on the reviews and photos. It’s easy to reach just off the main road, with plenty of parking. The front desk welcomed us, helped with our luggage, and checked us in quickly. The lobby and our Hibiscus room were consistently clean. Construction was happening next door when we arrived, but it had stopped by 6:00 p.m., so the evening was quiet. For a straightforward, clean, efficient stay, I’d recommend the Shirley Hotel. A few drawbacks, though not deal breakers: there are no elevators or phones in the rooms, and the TV only has news channels.

The staff were so nice and brought a real Jamaican welcome. It’s a safe, clean place with a homey feel, a proper retreat. The location also makes it easy to get around and feel part of the city. We’ll use this as our base in kingston.
