Villa Rasta

The owner lied to us about everything. We booked the whole place for a wedding, but every room had only one dirty towel, and the sheets were dirty too. The mattresses were moldy, and in one room sand fleas in the bed bit someone all night. There were cockroaches, and there was no running water. The owners weren't around to help at all. This was the worst stay I've had anywhere. We were overcharged for everything and left five days early because it was so horrendous. None of us got money back for any of the rooms. The owner only wants your money and does nothing to make guests comfortable. They made our trip awful. I would never recommend this place, and I hope it gets shut down. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!

The host was amazing, and the friendly people in town added to a lovely, quiet holiday. The beach is right out front and easy to find, with a beautiful view and the whole stretch to yourself. The price felt a bit high for what we got. The pool and hot tub weren't working, and there was no warm water. Still, the beach and scenery made up for those things.

The sleeping setup was gross and the accommodations were awful. We were overcharged for everything, and there's no running water in the area, so bring your own. Don't come here.

This hideaway overlooks the Long Bay main road and its beautiful beaches, with rustic cottages surrounded by nature. Portland is a lovely escape from city life, with plenty to explore. The owners are wonderfully hospitable, the food is great, and they can provide tour guides if needed. The scenery is magnificent, so it could be a good place to work through writer's block or for photographers hoping to build their portfolio. Or, if you simply love nature and want to relax, Villa Rasta is for you.
