Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay - All Inclusive

We loved the clear, warm, calm water, with no seaweed, and the beach is one of the best I’ve seen. We had a great holiday at Riu Palace Tropical Bay. Rooms were simple and clean, and the resort was spotless. The five stars are for the staff and customer service. Everyone was warm and friendly, especially Krystal at the upstairs bar and bakery. Managers Samuel and Akeno supported their staff and were efficient. Drinks were excellent and made how you asked. The buffet was good for an all-inclusive, with a nice variety that changed daily, including lobster tails on Thursday. Jolly’s jerk chicken was excellent, and he took pride in making it. We loved the band and its big playlist. We’ll be back!

This was my third visit, and I’ll be back again. The food and service were amazing, and housekeeping did a great job. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to. I was there for my birthday and found a Happy Birthday banner on my room door, plus a cake. Such a sweet surprise 😋

The resort was really clean, and we appreciated how positive and smiley the staff were. Damien and his buffet team gave excellent service, and he was amazingly efficient and great. The rest of the trip was perfect, and we’ll definitely return. The one exception was the service at Kristal. Two staff members, Shynelle and Sacha, were actually rude to us and the other customers. Thanks for a great time overall.

We had a good time at the buffet and Jerk hut, so we cancelled our remaining restaurant bookings after not being big fans of Krystal. There was a little something for everyone at the buffet, and do try the ice cream, especially coconut. The servers were attentive and kept our drinks topped up with a smile. The beach is lovely, shaded by plenty of trees, with lots of vendors selling the same bracelets, so expect to see them a few times. They were all friendly. People around the resort were friendly too. Staff were cheerful and helpful whenever we needed something. From the welcome drinks to having our bags taken as soon as we got out of the cab, we felt treated like royalty. Housekeeping was pleasant and did a great job, and the rainfall shower was a nice touch. We had an excellent experience booking excursions through the Scuba Caribe Hut on the beach. A few areas around the property need renovation, but we heard remodeling is planned this year and look forward to seeing it next year. We’ll be back! 💚💛❤️
