We had a kitchen with a regular-sized fridge, microwave, and stove, which is something only a few places in Negril offer if that matters to you. Our room was clean, with fresh towels and sheets, and the service was great. I stayed for five days for a friend’s wedding. The property was quiet and private. They were remodeling, so we couldn’t access the whole property, but that’s a good thing in the long run. I’d come back after the work is finished.

We came to Negril for the first time after visiting Jamaica three times, and stayed at Ocean Wave Villa from February 1st to March 1st, 2014. We’d always done all-inclusive resorts before, but wanted to spend more time with local people this trip. We had such a fantastic time that we’re done with resorts. Ocean Wave Villa was close to the beach, yet quiet and private. The staff helped us explore Negril and really looked after us. Janice owns the place, and she has a welcoming smile and a very pleasant nature. I once heard the gardener call her “Hey pretty Lady,” and he wasn’t wrong. Debby and Clare worked in the restaurant and also did housekeeping. They were always helpful and ready to answer our questions. Greg cooked at the restaurant, and he’s a great guy, an excellent cook, and a good tour “GUIDE.” Thanks for the Church tour, Greg! We arrived as strangers and left with a whole lot of new “FRIENDS.” Thanks, everyone. We’re already planning to come back next year.

We cooked our own meals in the full kitchen, and the rooms were clean and quiet. The staff were very good, and the pool was lovely. It’s a short walk down the lane and across the road to Boat Bar on the beach. Loved it.
