Caribic House Hotel

The location was perfect, right across from a great beach and in the middle of the nightlife. Our ocean-view king room had an amazing view, and we watched the sunset every night. It wasn't fancy, but had what we needed, including a mini fridge and microwave. The front desk staff were super friendly, and security is there around the clock and doesn't miss anything. I'd recommend this hotel 10 out of 10.

I'm still trying to get my refund. I booked through Expedia and canceled before the penalty window, so I should have received the full amount back. The property keeps saying a manager has to approve it, but no manager is ever available. Even while in Jamaica, I contacted the police for help, and they told me this had happened with this hotel or property before. It feels super sketchy, and I wouldn't give it a star. Stay away. This place is a complete scam.

The patio was a nice place to relax and take in the Hip Strip, and you can walk to all the activities from here. I liked the comfortable bed, good shower with plenty of hot water, and AC. Carabic House may suit you well if those are the things you want from a budget hotel in Montego Bay. If you have a rental or private car, though, daytime parking can be tricky or expensive. It’s on-street parking, charged by the hour until 7 pm.

We booked several places while staying in Jamaica, and this one was our favorite. The location was great, the staff were nice, and the security guard helped us feel safe. There are lots of stairs to the top floor, but staff helped carry our luggage. I’d book again, though I had a bad experience with the room safe: it locked itself before I could set it up, and I was charged $30 to have it opened. I felt scammed.
