Excellence Oyster Bay

Staff were one of the best parts of the trip, and check in and check out were smooth. The resort had something for different needs, from the coffee shop and breakfast to the pool and beach bars. Food and restaurants were top tier, especially Lobster house, and you have to try the hibachi restaurant. Bar staff were 10/10. The jerk hurt and water activities were a nice touch. We stayed in a junior suite with the pool, which was great, and I couldn’t fault the room. Room service was slow each time, but it didn’t spoil the trip. Entertainment could’ve been better, though we had fun at the silent disco. I’d give it 9/10, with the entertainment costing the point.

The resort’s views were exceptional from everywhere, and we loved having a room with a private pool. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Excellence Oyster Bay. The staff were attentive, checking often to make sure we were happy and to refill our drinks. There were plenty of bars and food choices. Spice (Asian) and The Lobster House were our favorite places to eat, and the sports bar near the entertainment area showed NFL/MLB/NHL games, so we caught the NFL playoff games. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and would’ve liked a buffet option at dinner too. Some restaurants weren’t open every night, which limited the choices, though it was fine. As suggestions, we’d have liked the three outdoor pool and beach bars to stay open later than 6 pm, so we could hang out after dinner instead of only having the lobby bar late at night. We had a relaxing, enjoyable time, with great food and drinks and friendly, gracious staff. We’d love to return.

The staff’s positive attitude and professionalism really made the stay memorable. At the dining team, thank you to Perecia, Kerfria, Charmaine, Randy, and Koltia for such great service. Sheldon, Vincent, Nigel, and Tamayo at the watersports hut made our beach days even better. They didn’t ask to be mentioned, they were simply that memorable. Excellence Oyster Bay had only recently reopened after renovations following Hurricane Melissa, and it’s impressive how much they got running again. The resort was immaculately clean, with outstanding food and drinks. There were a few signs that recovery work was still going on: some shattered glass in the sand in front of our beach house, plus limited access to the Magna pool area and beach during renovations. That was understandable after the hurricane and didn’t detract from our stay. With daily activities, entertainment, and excellent beach and water conditions, you couldn’t tell it was rebuilt in just two months. The care and effort put into restoration were impressive. We’d absolutely recommend Excellence Oyster Bay and look forward to returning.

The people at Excellence Oyster Bay made this vacation unforgettable. At the restaurants, Antionette, Perecia, and Charmaine were warm, personable, and attentive, making every meal feel special. Akino, Derick, and Tamayo brought fun activities to life and got guests involved with plenty of energy, without being pushy. And our pool waitress, Hyana, took such thoughtful care of us all week. She was kind, friendly, hospitable, and attentive to every detail. The resort itself was luxurious and impeccably maintained, with amazing facilities and a breathtaking landscape. Excellence Oyster Bay really lives up to its name. We can’t wait to return!
