Carl made this stay excellent. I booked at the last minute, and he was very accommodating. The room was good, comfortable, and gave me the privacy and alone time I needed. I also had an excellent view and was right across from doctors cave beach and Starbucks, both of which I enjoyed. I’m an adult and still get scared and claustrophobic in elevators, but having someone with me helps. Each time I rode it, the host was happy to come along. The place could use some renovations, but it’s a real gem, and I’d truly recommend it. Thanks, Carl.

I’ve stayed in these Airbnbs three times now and love it. You get the ocean right from your balcony, and having a stove in every condo makes it easy to cook and save money. Highly recommend.

The rooms are good and the location is great, but I can’t recommend Karl. He made false claims about my group to try to get more money from us, and dealing with him felt very shady. First he said we had unregistered guests, which I was able to disprove. Then he added a charge for checking in three hours early, even though we arrived an hour and a half before check-in. He never brought this up when we checked in, only added it to the bill a week later, after checkout. Very unprofessional. I’d avoid Karl.

It wasn’t what I expected, but we made it work. The Garden View Room was a letdown, all we could see were rocks and bushes, so I wouldn’t choose that room again. The place also didn’t feel worth $2000. Karl was kind, and complaints and issues were handled promptly. The maintenance worker was respectful, efficient, patient, and clearly knew what he was doing. A few things need attention. The room smelled old and funky, so it should be aired out before guests arrive. Supplies for the whole party should be ready before check-in. Since it isn’t all-inclusive, there should be a fresh set of sheets available. With the washer there, waiting for the bedding to wash and air-dry was uncomfortable. In room 308, the toilet was so loud when flushed that it sounded like a helicopter and would wake the family, so we couldn’t flush it at night. The plumbing needs work. The patio glass door barely slid shut and seemed to work when it wanted to, which made us nervous about opening it to sit outside. Room 308 also needs proper bedside tables, and the furniture wasn’t what the ad showed. Only three TV channels worked, though we had Netflix and my computer.
