Reggae Hostel Montego Bay

The private rooms were roomy and very clean, and the staff were friendly. I had no trouble walking back to the Hip Strip, though it's about a 20-minute walk and the neighborhood didn't feel like the best. The big drawback was the club music, either from a place attached to the hostel or right next door. The bass was strong enough to feel in the room. I'd still stay here again.

The price was great, and I'd definitely come back. The rooms were clean, though they could use brighter lighting. Getting transportation to the airport was easy. Breakfast isn't included, so bring your own food. Food isn't allowed in the rooms either, although they made an exception for me since I was the only guest. It was okay overall.

NaTasha was especially kind and understanding, and the staff were professional. The Reggae Hostel is a really cool place, and despite the music outside, I'd recommend it. The noise was awful, though, and made it hard to sleep before 3am. I know that's not the hostel's fault, but it's why I'd give it 4 stars instead of 5.

Tas,Chris, and their live in intern Jessica were such great hosts and went way beyond what I expected. This was the best experience I've had in a long time. If you're backpacking and want a safe, flavourful taste of Jamacian Culture, this is the place. Much love and respect. See you all again soon!
