Catcha Falling Star

The Wi-Fi was impressively fast, and the housekeeper we met was lovely. She was friendly and helpful, and brought extra towels and other essentials whenever we needed them. The room matched its photos, though it felt small and crowded. The wardrobe blocked the TV from the bed, and we found cobwebs by the window when we opened the curtains, so cleaning could use more attention. The restaurant opens at 7:30 AM, which worked well for early risers. We had a nice morning with one waiter who was warm and conversational, but our other interactions with restaurant staff were mixed. Some were polite and accommodating, while others felt unwelcoming. Charges for extras varied depending on who served us, and some staff weren’t open to small meal adjustments even though we were paying for them. Catcha Falling Star has potential, but it needs more consistency and care with cleaning. I’d recommend it with reservations, especially if room comfort and customer service matter a lot to you.

Ivan's restaurant is amazing, and the garden is lovely and well kept. This is a wonderful property, with beautiful cliffs and sunset views. The rooms are a little older, but clean, with hot water, AC, and everything you need. Seven Mile Beach is easy to reach by taxi or Uber. Highly recommend!

Dinner at Ivan’s is always the highlight for me. I love the pineapple chicken with rice and peas, the great drinks, and the sound of the waves below. The staff take real pride in their work and clearly love their guests and their jobs. That warmth is a big part of what makes Catcha and Ivan’s so memorable. I’ve been three times, and the Sagittarius room had everything I didn’t know I needed: a wide open view, an outdoor shower, real privacy, and that quiet feeling when a place is just right. Most mornings, I’d have coffee by the ocean, then take a slow morning doing nothing before easing into the pool. Later it was a piña colada, time in the sun overlooking the ocean, lunch, then another swim. The jerk chicken skewers with coleslaw and fries are a standout every time. That first unforgettable trip to Catcha is what led me to become a travel agent. Each visit reminds me why I love helping people find places that stay with them long after they leave.

It’s a charming, cozy place with good service, and I’d recommend it. The confusing part was how things changed when we went from having drinks to ordering food. The staff’s attitude became unclear and a little hostile. If you’re only there for a meal, you also can’t use the pool or the sea, as those are reserved for guests.
