Fay Guest House

Before heading to a resort for the week, we spent one night at Fay's. She made us feel welcome, communicated well, and was a wonderful, accommodating host. Thanks, Fay!

Clean, cozy, and in a really handy spot in Negril, Fay's place was a great find. Fay is the best host you could ask for in Jamaica. Her art store is only a five-minute walk from the house, so have a look.

We needed somewhere for two nights, and I’m glad we found Fay’s Guest House. Fay is a sweet, attentive host who kept on top of everything and communicated really well. The place is affordable and in a good part of Westmoreland, near great places to eat, west cliffs, and beaches. It was the first place in Jamaica where my husband and I felt comfortable walking around after sunset, even after visits to Mobay, Ocho Rios, and Kingston. There’s a gated parkway and gated entrance, plus parking for our rental car, and getting in and out was easy. Sharks restaurant and Kool Vybes Jerk Center are both a one-minute walk away, and we enjoyed eating at both. Our room came with a private bathroom, fridge, hot water kettle, two fans, and cups. The hot water wasn’t working, but it was warm at the end of December, so cold showers felt refreshing to us. The wifi was spotty, though it worked well enough for what we needed. We’d stay here again. LOVED it.

Fay is what made this stay for me. She’s an incredible host and an even nicer person, and I feel like she’ll be a friend for life. The place is great value for money, especially if you’re staying long term and need an economical option. Location and safety were both a thumbs up, with the world famous Ricks cafe about a five-minute walk away. The Internet was superb, better than I’m used to in Jamaica, and I watched Netflix all week without any issues. Rooms have a small refrigerator, electric hot pots and kettle, multiple fans, a bureau for clothes, and a private bath and shower. The beds are double or queen. I couldn’t be happier with my stay and highly recommend it.
