Sandals Negril

Our first big trip won us over to Jamaica Negril, heart and soul ♥️. The people of Jamaica are beautiful and kind, and made us feel so loved. We cried as the wata fell from our eyes when we had to leave, cuz ya gotta leave of mewani come back! So many people made our trip special. Shentol (Lipstick) was full of joy, and Tovia at Barefoot was spectacular. Cheroo's fruit cake is amazing! Leonie was sweet and helped us find Crema when we got lost, and also helped us at Bayside. Jeffrie was hilarious and took great photos. Willis at the bar had a great spirit, and Jason and all the water sports guys were helpful and made it easy to learn and enjoy. Chantay and Dillion at Perla deserve extra respect for being so personal, friendly, and great at their jobs, as was Lipstick. Toni was a great server at the Sundowner, and our bus driver David was informative and friendly. These compliments still feel like an understatement. I didn’t know Gina would *go away* once I got home 😅, so I’m writing down everyone who helped make the trip what it was.

Sandals Negril made our first visit to the area unforgettable. My wife and I got married at Sandals Ochi, which will always hold a special place in my heart, but Negril was next level. Our walk-out oceanfront suite was just steps from the beach. We loved the amenities, especially the Ice Cream Parlor and its excellent cookies, along with the restaurants. Perla's jerk chicken and Shrimp tacos, and Sundown's surf and turf, were excellent. The New Year's Eve celebration was spectacular too. The staff really set the resort apart. Brendon made the best drinks on the property. Ms. Karlene, Judith, and Rochelle greeted us warmly and had great conversations with us every day. Careca Brown and Jevoy gave amazing service and helpful island recommendations. By the middle of the week, they felt like family. Sandals Negril exceeded every expectation. The beach birthday dinner was one of the most memorable parts of our Sandals Negril stay. Asha Lee put together a beautiful setup under an umbrella, so we could enjoy it even in the light rain. The sunset, atmosphere, and attention to detail made the evening magical, and one we’ll always remember. We booked a swim-up room, and having the pool just outside our patio was worth it. The property is beautiful, and the service across the resort was exceptional. Meals at the nearby restaurants felt special too. Asha Lee was the standout. She began as our waitress but quickly felt like part of our vacation family. She anticipated what we needed, checked on us even when she wasn’t assigned to us, and made the details feel personal and cared for. She might as well have been our butler. Her warmth, attention, and professionalism were exceptional. We’d return without hesitation. Next time we might book a butler suite, especially if we could request Asha Lee as our butler. She’s a real asset to the resort and made us feel welcome and valued. Thank you, Sandals Negril, for the wonderful stay and for team members like her.

We picked Sandals for its great reputation and Negril because of the photos and reviews, for our first winter trip to the Caribbean. We were very happy with that choice. From the front desk to the restaurant and cleaning teams, the staff were welcoming and always smiling. The place was clean, the food was good, and the entertainment was great, right through to the departure song. A memorable vacation, and we’re sure to repeat it in the near future.
