Somewhere West Negril Guest House

The cliffside view and sunset are incredible, and the salt water pool is filled fresh from the sea. Somewhere was is an amazing, breathtaking place, with a full bar, restaurant, and private kitchens. Chef O'Neil makes amazing home cooked food. The property is fully gated, and the dogs add a sense of security. A must stay if you want to get away from the tourist trap hotels and make some new friends.

We spent 10 days at Somewhere West over New Year's and held our small wedding ceremony there. Angie and the team made everyone feel like family, helped us feel comfortable, and pulled off the wedding perfectly. The dinner reception food and drinks were outstanding. Many thanks to Angie, Paulina, Taniesha, Adrian, Capo, and all the rest of the staff. The rooms are cute and comfortable, and having AC made a real difference for sleeping well. The crashing waves against the cliffs are a hard view to beat. It's quite far out on the West End, so a few taxi drivers weren't familiar with it at first, but once we knew the area, getting around was easy. Drivers are also on site if you give them notice. Taco Thursdays were a lot of fun, with good music, drinks, and yummy tacos. We'll be back.

The pictures don't really show how incredible Indigo Sky is, you have to see it in person. Swimming in the pool, which felt like it was perched right over the ocean, and taking in the scenery were highlights for us. Angela was quick to respond whenever I reached out, and everyone was so hospitable. Lacy, her housekeeper, was lovely, and Angela's boyfriend drove us around for a very small charge. He was polite, respectful, and patient. It was a great stay and helped make our time in Negril feel almost surreal. I'd definitely return. Thank you, Angela!

The staff at Somewhere West were all so friendly and helpful. They'd arrange a ride, offer tips about local fruit, or just keep an eye out for you. The views are stunning, the pool is great, and it's wonderfully quiet. After a first day grocery stop at Hi-Lo, I didn't feel much need to leave except to visit local pubs or the odd street vender. You can have meals brought to your room for most of the day. O'Neills banana pancakes were great, and I also got to try plenty of local food. It's a hidden gem, and with the development potential here, it could become a great West End retreat. Do yourself a favor and book it.
