Travellers Beach Resort

We’re already missing the place and are planning to return next year. The staff were really friendly, and the food onsite was good, with prices that felt reasonable for Seven Mile. I’d recommend paying extra for breakfast. The resort is well located and its facilities are better than some other hotels on Seven Mile. At first, one half of our group was given a clean room that needed decorative repairs. The staff handled it well and upgraded them to a two-bedroom suite.

I used to enjoy staying there, but after this experience I won’t be back. I’m in their loyalty program, which is supposed to get me a better rate. I tried calling several times to arrange a birthday stay for a friend but couldn’t get an answer, so I booked online. At check-in, only half had already been charged to my card, and they wouldn’t adjust the price. Their own website showed almost twice the price, even though this wasn’t a third-party booking site. Check-in was at 3:00, but we didn’t get a room until 4:00, with no apology. The front desk staff seemed more interested in talking among themselves than helping customers. Sad to see the place go downhill.

The only issue for us is the water pressure and hot water. When lots of people shower after the beach, demand can overwhelm the hot water supply. Still, my wife and I have been coming for four years and are happy with Travelers. The rooms are a little small, but very clean and nicely decorated. Housekeeping is second to none: they get the sand out, and you can smell how clean the room is when you return. The grounds are well cared for, and I love the Christmas decorations. We’ve seen steady improvements, and it’s clear the owners put love and dedication into making this a beautiful vacation resort, not just into making money. The food has come a long way since our first year. It’s hot and fresh, and you can taste the effort they’ve put into improving the menu. The fish sticks and fries are delicious.

The beach access was great, with a bar and chairs for guests, and the pool was really nice. Staff were very friendly and the food was decent. It’s a beautiful beachfront spot, though it’s not close to Montego Bay.
