Negril Beach Club

The beachfront setting gave me the most beautiful sunset views, and the place was quiet and peaceful. I especially loved the jacuzzi, though there’s also a pool. There’s a restaurant, shop, and massage place by the beach, which is handy if you need something. I had everything I needed, including on-site laundry. The laundromat charged 2000-2500JMD per load of clothes.

The beach is stunning, with beautiful white sand that’s kept very clean, and the jacuzzi is fantastic. The staff were lovely, especially Kareen at reception, who made us feel welcome, and Lorraine the housekeeper, who did a wonderful job. My husband and I stayed 18 nights and had a great time. The hotel is very dated and really needs modernising, but it didn’t spoil our holiday. Our room was comfortable, with a super king bed, hot shower, good air conditioning, and a balcony. The WiFi worked well. The one downside was the incredible road noise every night from our room. I’d suggest booking one overlooking the beach if any are available. We’d stay again if we came back to Negril.

The location was great, and we liked the fresh fruit smoothies at the beach bar. Breakfast took an hour to be made and brought out. The room had cockroaches in the kitchen, fridge, bathroom, above the bed on the ceiling, and on the bed skirt. We hadn’t cooked or left food out. Security was great, kind, and helpful when we arrived late, and we met some kool people at the beach bar. Two things disappeared during our stay, a spider brand workout top and a little bottle of moroccan oil. Once, we came back to find the room left open.

The grounds were very well kept, with lovely flowers my wife enjoyed, and the beach was amazing, with the best water ever. Everything was close by, and the morning guard recommended Sweet Spot for breakfast. The staff were attentive when I called late at night for a room at short notice. The agent did what she said she would, leaving my key with security because I was arriving late. The guard walked me to my room and turned on the AC. The place is beautiful, but they miss obvious details. The white towels were nearly black, the sheet had blood stains, and the chair in the room was disgusting. Why not replace the dirty towels and sheets? It makes me wonder whether housekeeping can replace them or whether they asked and were turned down. The location is great, the price is right, and the property is gorgeous, so it’s frustrating that those basics were overlooked.
