The $170 security fee was outrageous, and I’m not even American. I also don't think the room itself is worth more than $100. The receptionist was lovely, friendly, and made check-in smooth. The paperwork took about 5-10 minutes, then she showed me to my room. The bathroom and beds were clean and pleasant, and I liked the outside area, especially the view. The AC worked fine, but there was a crisp packet inside the unit, as shown in the image I added. There was a very noisy party from 23:00. It didn't bother me much, but I wouldn't suggest staying here if you want a quiet night's sleep. Breakfast and the service were the worst part. The waiters were rude and barely spoke, the food was nasty, and the menu was shorter than anything I've seen before, lol. The toast was the best thing. It felt cheap, with childish portions, and they were stingy with the servings. Sadly, I wouldn't stay again, though the receptionist, the one who had her daughter, was lovely 🤍.

I loved being able to get into the sea and went for a sunrise swim every morning. The deluxe room had a beautiful view, and our group enjoyed the included Jamaican breakfast. Customer service was good, though the rooms are dated. We stayed in October 2025.

The Hibiscus Lodge is close to Ocho Ríos town and easy to find, with a lovely view of the Caribbean Sea. The atmosphere is quiet and the staff were accommodating. When it started raining, the team moved everything indoors quickly and smoothly, which impressed me. The food was great too. It was a seamless, enjoyable wedding experience from beginning to end.

After coming here since 1999, for 25 years, I’m sad to say I won't return. They had no ackee or bacon, and even an order of two eggs and sausage took 20 minutes. We asked for dippy eggs but got them hard. I wouldn't feed this to my dog.

After a long day of travel, I expected to be able to take a proper shower, but there were no wash clothes in the room. The front desk agent told me the room category I'd booked doesn't include them. I've never heard of a hotel limiting such a basic amenity by room type, and even a motel provides it. This left me frustrated and unable to freshen up properly, and reflects poorly on the hotel's hospitality. The agent showed no empathy. I hope they address this so it doesn't happen to another guest. Why would anyone be told that wash clothes are only available in certain room categories? Apparently, only at Hibiscus Lodge. I'm writing because I was profoundly disappointed with my recent stay at Hisbiscus Lodge hotel. When I arrived, I immediately raised the missing wash clothes with the front desk.
