Gems at Crystal Cove

The staff are the reason this villa felt worth what it offered. Villa Manager Johanna and her team, Barbara, Dian, Ricardo, and Norma, greeted us with smiles and tropical drinks. Johana went beyond any customer service I’ve experienced in my travels. She cared about us and her staff, helped everyone, and responded quickly when things could be fixed. A few things did go wrong: the upstairs tub malfunctioned, the propane tank in the fire pit and the hot tub tank went out, there were outside electrical problems with lights, and a safe didn’t work. Barbara was professional and organized, and the greatest chef in Jamaica, in my view. We planned the menu together, and all eight guests were more than satisfied. Her food was 5 star dining, made with a smile and heart. We even asked for recipes. Norma, Barbara’s assistant cook, kept our waters filled and helped clean up so we didn’t have to do a thing. Dian kept the villa VERY clean and set the dinner table beautifully, with extra details that made it feel like dining at a 5 star restaurant. Ricardo took us snorkeling, and we learned so much. He arranged my birthday decorations, cleaned the grounds every day, and handled any issues that came up. He also brought us sugarcane and various fruits from the Island. If these five people hadn’t made the trip so memorable, I personally don’t think the villa cost would have been worth it. They’re what makes the Villa so valuable.
