Kaz Kreol Beach Lodge

The food was a real highlight, with fresh, flavorful meals, lovely presentation, and a good mix of local dishes and familiar favorites. Breakfast by the ocean was especially nice. We had a relaxing stay at this beachfront hotel, waking to the sound of waves and stepping straight onto the beach. The hotel is older, but the rooms and everything in them worked, and the place was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful the whole time. Great service, food, and atmosphere. We left refreshed and would happily return and recommend it for a peaceful beach getaway.

I traveled alone for a much-needed break and felt safe, relaxed, and truly cared for. The team was warm, attentive, and flexible, and did more than expected to make everything go smoothly. The setting is hard to beat, just steps from a peaceful, spotless beach and the renowned White River. It's a cozy spot with an authentic Jamaican feel, and the cuisine, hospitality, scenery, and atmosphere were all wonderful. This hotel has earned a permanent place on my list for Ocho Rios, and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone after a private, culturally rich retreat. Thank you for the perfect getaway Sand & Tan ✨

We booked five nights and left after just the first. From the start, reception staff were rude and dismissive, and our room wasn't ready, so we waited over an hour to check in. The room was filthy and looked untouched. There were no towels; after asking staff three times and still being ignored, we had to take some ourselves. Water stopped running for several hours, then returned without any hot water, so our showers were cold. A bar on site played loud music all day and well past 9pm. We could hear it clearly in our room and couldn't rest. The food on site was disgusting. Although some rooms have a nice view, the hotel sits at the end of a sketchy dirt road, far from real amenities or services. This place failed to meet even basic accommodation standards. Without exaggeration, it's the worst hotel experience we've had. I'd strongly advise booking elsewhere.

The bar food is good, and the bar service itself was good too. Reception staff were okay, but when we complained, we didn't feel heard. The response was reactive rather than proactive in helping paying hotel guests. The bar seems to take priority over the hotel. It sits directly in front of the rooms and plays loud music every day from 11am to 10pm, with the volume rising as the day goes on. There's no escaping it, and the music is terrible. Songs are often cut off halfway through to play another one. I saw a response claiming loud music is for public holidays, but that's not true: we stayed several days outside any public holidays, and it was loud every day. If you're looking for a place to rest and relax, I can't recommend this one.
