Silver Seas Hotel

This place looks like it had its better days 20-30 years ago. It’s rundown, with about half the property under renovation, and there was no pool available. The restaurant was underwhelming, and there was no beachside access by ladders or sandy area by the water. The doors also have lots of daylight between them and the jambs, which raises a security concern. There was no fridge or coffee maker in the room, and the Wi-Fi is set up room by room instead of across the property. The pictures don’t do justice to what it’s like in person. Should have known better. You get what you pay for definitely applies.

The staff were amazing, always smiling and ready to help, and the food was better than at a lot of places I’ve been. Everything is within walking distance, and I like having the beach, AC, and being in town. My kids loved the beach here. The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated, but I didn’t come here to spend time in the bathroom. Five star service.

The location is superb and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Beyond that, it’s a beautiful spot with a big piece of land, but the lack of investment has really let it down. There’s a huge abandoned, dried up swimming pool full of mosquitoes, and the sun loungers are old with broken backs. Our room only had a lamp for light, with no ceiling or wall lights. The shower kept shifting between hot and cold. Such wasted potential.

I don’t get why people complain about this place in reviews. The front desk staff are very nice, and my room was clean and gigantic, with a big patio, strong Wi-Fi, AC, and a very decent shower. It’s centrally located, too.
