The rooftop is a lovely place to look out over the ocean and do a bit of stargazing at night. Inside, the high ceilings and big windows keep the place bright, and there’s an open-plan downstairs with a small kitchen and lounge. The king bed was the most sumptuous one I’ve slept in. Tiffany is a wonderful person and runs this beautiful place. I found it so relaxing and can’t wait to return.

20 out of 10! The villa is spotless, and the hostess is attentive and quick to respond. She makes sure you’re comfortable and listens without making you feel like a bother. The area is lovely, with restaurants right on the beach, and the villa is practically on the beach too. The locals are so friendly and make staying in town a great experience. I’d book Sunset at Tiffany's again and again.

The villa is comfortable and tastefully decorated, with cosy seating nooks, a dedicated work area, an open layout and a kitchen counter with stools. The upstairs loft bedroom has a comfortable king bed and lovely natural light. It felt like a good fit for a couple. There’s A/C and a TV in both the bedroom and main living space. The kitchen has the basics for cooking, plus a French Press, blender, toaster and microwave. We stayed 15 nights and made at least one meal at home each day. Since the villa is more closed off than many nearby places, mosquitoes didn’t bother us indoors as much. The roof has lovely views of the ocean, sunset and sunrise. The villa is on a quiet street, less than a five-minute walk to Frenchman’s Bay Beach. Wise Wellness Center, a vegetarian and vegan restaurant and holistic health store with yoga classes, is down the street, and Smurf’s Cafe is next door. It’s my sixth year visiting Treasure Beach, and this was a good stay at Sunsets at Tiffanys. Tiffany was quick to respond, and her husband Ledgie arranged rides, picked us up at the airport, helped us exchange money and made time for a supermarket stop. There were a few things that could be better. The roof has a beautiful view but only two upright chairs and a small portable umbrella, with no comfortable reclining chairs there or in the front yard. The hammock out front is made of scratchy twine. We booked through VRBO (Vacation Rentals By Owner), but Tiffany told us she gets few bookings there and the welcome materials, instructions and extras aren’t listed on that platform because she focuses on AirBnB. That would have been helpful to know before booking. Construction at her grandmother's house next door, damaged by hurricane Beryl, went on for most of our stay. We were told about it on arrival, and the first day had a very loud generator running all day. It sounded like city construction. After we raised the issue, things got better, though work still started at 8:30 am. We were long-term guests and paid for three extra days we couldn’t use because of a healthcare appointment that was hard to reschedule. We left the booking as it was to make things easier for everyone, and treated the villa like our own home, but didn’t feel the personal touch some other reviewers mentioned. Given the information situation on VRBO, we felt AirBnB would probably have been a better platform for getting the most out of the stay. We try not to use AirBnB because of its well-documented racist and classist business practices. The review also included photos of the outdoor space.

Tiffany and her family went above and beyond to help make our trip smooth, and I can’t thank them enough. The home shares a property with Tiffany and her parents, whose family has been on the island for generations and knows local people well. We loved being away from the bustle of tourist areas while still being close enough to drive to attractions. The beach and several restaurants are a beautiful three-to-ten-minute walk away. Tiffany’s loft feels cute and special. I especially liked the stone floor in the bathroom shower and tub, the rooftop patio and the huge comfortable bed. It’s a great place for experiencing Jamaica, and I can’t wait to go back.

Tiffany’s hosting made my first visit to Treasure Beach extra special. She has years of property management experience and knows how to make guests comfortable. I stayed in the family home on the same property as the new, modern loft-style rental, Sunsets at Tiffany’s. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for the beautiful surroundings. There’s plenty to see and do, but you can also relax in peace and quiet. I’ve been an Airbnb Superhost myself for two years, and I think you’ll enjoy visiting this part of Jamaica in comfort.
