Arabesque Hotel

The day trips arranged through the hotel were good value and took us to fascinating places. Omar, our driver, was fantastic. Staff throughout the hotel were incredibly helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and had good air conditioning, and the hotel is great value in a spot where you can easily walk to Downtown Amman. I really enjoyed my stay and can recommend it.

We stayed for three nights, and couldn't get moved to a quieter room despite asking more than once. I arrived at 4:30 pm on October 11 and explained that the booking was wrong because there were two of us. I asked for two single beds and said I was fine with an extra fee, but they checked and said it was the same price as my booking. They took me to a room, but it was very noisy. The receptionist said to wait until 6 pm, when the noise would be less. It wasn't. The noise from people and cars on the road was still there, and my sister heard it too when she came at 8 pm. She asked reception to change rooms, but we were told to wait until 10 pm. We waited until morning and asked again, but were told maybe someone would check out at night. We kept waiting, and never got another room during our stay. We were told breakfast was free, but they tried to charge me 3 JOD for scrambled eggs. I only used the free breakfast once, and the experience was very bad. The towel smelled used and like cigarettes, and wasn't changed for three days even though we requested it. We could hear the hallway noise too. There was no tissue in the room apart from toilet paper in the bathroom, and no toothbrush or toothpaste. I told them about all the problems we were having. The reception staff asked, “What can we do, change the location?” That was an unprofessional thing to say to customers. I hope they improve the hotel and staff.

Mr. Jahed and his team are very welcoming to guests. The hotel covers all the needs and is good. I'd recommend it to friends.

The rooms were clean and had good AC, and breakfast was excellent. Hospitality was good too, especially for the price. There was some noise from the street next door. I'd recommend it if you're looking for good value in downtown Amman.
