The Abdali Boulevard Hotel

We were disappointed by the cleanliness, poor service, and quality, and we’ll never return. At the same nightly price there are many hotels with a huge difference in cleanliness and quality. I wouldn’t recommend this to families, couples, or anyone. The check-in system was very bad. It doesn’t deserve five stars, three at best, and I didn’t feel it was safe. Anyone could use the lifts and go anywhere without permission. The front desk woman was extremely rude and unhelpful, though I can’t remember her name. The room was dirty and all black inside, with what I thought was the worst interior design I’d ever seen. It felt like being trapped in a horrible room. The bathroom was humid and smelled bad, with mold and feces on the bidet/shattaf. I couldn’t even take a photo because it was so disgusting. The hallway carpets were very dirty and there was an unpleasant smell throughout. The pillows were hard like stone and extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was very basic with no variety. It was in another building, so we had to walk outside to get there.

That attached mall was mostly deserted while we were there because of the air strikes from Iran, but the stay itself was great value. We were upgraded to a suite with a separate living room and kitchen, plus a balcony looking over the mall. It also had a separate shower and tub and a washer-dryer combo. The restaurant's iftar buffet was wonderful.

The staff were especially welcoming and attentive, particularly hamzeh and abdullah. I had a great Iftar at Cafe Italia: the food was consistently good, service came on time, and the menu had a nice balance of fresh starters, tasty mains, and desserts. The warm atmosphere worked really well for a Ramadan gathering. A cozy, satisfying meal, highly recommended.

The street got a little noisy at night with all the honking, which is normal for Amman, but we'd stay again. Service and food were both great. Since we had kids and had to leave for the airport before breakfast service began, they went out of their way to make sure we could eat before heading out.
