Tilal Almadina Hotel & Suites

Ramzi was the best part of our stay. When we arrived, he explained that the app we'd booked through had canceled our reservation. He still gave us a room to rest in, told us not to worry and that we'd sort it out the next day, and didn't ask for any payment. The issue was fixed that same night, but his kindness meant a lot. The place worked well for our family, with clean, spacious rooms and parking that was easy to use. It's close to everything we needed in Amman. Thanks to Ramzi and all the Tilal Almadinah staff.

The pack n play my baby slept in was disgusting, though we only found that out after he'd already slept in it. We also ended up sleeping with dirty sheets and a urine-stained comforter. When I first got to the room it seemed nice, but the microwave had old, dried food crumbs in it, and the sheets were covered in little hairs and debris. I called to ask for fresh sheets. They apologized and said housekeeping would come in the morning. The next day I asked the front desk to clean the room. When I returned, the microwave was still dirty. The sheets were clean, but under the sheet the comforter was badly worn and had huge yellow stains all over it. I called the front desk, and the gentleman said there was a sheet on it and that he couldn't replace the comforter. I took it down to the lobby to show him how unacceptable it was, but he kept insisting the sheet was there. I went back to pack straight away. He came up offering a “new” comforter in a bag and asked me to check it. It also had yellow stains. Filthy hotel, filthy customer service. I'd give it a negative rating if I could.

I've stayed here three times now, and the staff have always been great and attentive. The rooms are comfortable, though nothing fancy. The location is handy, with Uber or taxis making it easy to get around. Cleanliness could be better, but I'll be back.

The room had no windows, and the breakfast buffet didn't look appealing. We also got the wrong luggage sent to our room, and I had to call the front desk several times just to get two extra towels. The staff were quite rude. We booked through trip advisor, but when we arrived they said our room type was sold out. They'd overbooked the suites, but still charged us for an upgrade even though it was the hotel's mistake. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.
