Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance! One outlet didn’t work, so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. I asked to move rooms, but they refused and said I wasn’t entitled to a change because I’d already entered the room, as if we were staying for free. The toilet was worn out and the doors scratched. Thanks for nothing :)

The hotel itself and the rest of the staff did a good job and provided efficient service. But the duty manager ramiz tillawi was rude to our group. He spoke to one person and completely ignored everyone else, even when they asked questions. It was unacceptable and lacked basic hospitality.

We’ve been staying at this hotel for ten years. The rooms are good, but sadly the standard has dropped over time. Cleanliness and the bathrooms aren’t what they should be.

I’ve visited Al Raad Hotel many times and always loved it, so this recent stay was disappointing. The customer service duty manager, Ramiz Tillawi, was extremely rude and had no basic manners. His behavior also showed little management skill, unlike the excellent service I’ve come to expect here. When I spoke to him directly about how he acted, he said he was under stress. That’s no professional excuse for poor customer service. Guests shouldn’t have to put up with disrespect, whatever the circumstances. I hope hotel management addresses this. It would be a shame for a wonderful hotel to be let down by poor leadership in customer service.

You can walk to nearby restaurants, the beach, and Jett Bus Station from here. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked as it should, and the bathrooms were brand new and modern. Breakfast didn’t have much choice, but it was pretty good. You get what’s advertised, so it’s a pretty good option.
