Grand Tala Bay Resort, Aqaba

Having direct access from our room to the kids pool made such a difference for our family, and Ayham from guest relations helped us find just the right room. The resort was well equipped and the whole stay felt comfortable and easy. Breakfast was very good, and the staff, pools and resort were all great. The personal care from the team really stood out. Fady, the manager, was top notch, humble, and accommodating, and he clearly understands how to handle guests and their needs. Mukhtar, the concierge manager, also went above and beyond. During peak hours he came himself with a club car and helped move my family and our bags over from another resort. Grand Tala Bay Resort Aqaba gave us a wonderful stay, highly recommended.

The food was delicious and had plenty of variety. The staff were professional, courteous, and very welcoming throughout our stay at Grand Tala Bay Resort Aqaba. A Russian lady kindly helped my 7-year-old daughter after an insect bit her on the beach. Her care made a real difference, and thankfully everything turned out fine. Many thanks as well to Mr. Mohammad Al-Momani, Mr. Fadi Al-Nimri, and Aiham at reception for their hospitality and support. An excellent experience, highly recommended.

For the price, this is a great hotel. The staff are friendly, it feels modern, and the beach is amazing. You can also access the hotels next door. A little work on some cosmetic details would help, and the beach music should really be turned off. It was super loud and just objectively not good music. I kept sneaking over to loungers at other hotels to get a quiet spot for reading or enjoying the view. Even so, I’d 100% recommend staying here.

We spent more than $330 for just a few hours and received almost none of the services we expected. The experience at Grand Tala Bay Resort was extremely disappointing. We booked full accommodation so we could enjoy the Dead Sea in the afternoon, relax, and then head to the airport. We arrived around 1 PM and left around 8 PM. Before booking, we specifically checked whether drinks would be available, as we’re Americans visiting during Ramadan, and were told the hotel was serving. But when we went to the bar, nobody was there and no service was available. At around 5:30 PM we went to the restaurant because we were hungry, only to be told there was no buffet because occupancy was low. So despite paying for full accommodation, there was no food at all. Our bathroom also leaked and left the whole floor soaked. We didn’t complain then, since we only needed the room briefly to shower after the Dead Sea. When I later asked reception politely whether we could receive a discount or some consideration because there had been neither food nor drinks, the gentleman was rude and dismissive. Very disappointing. Customer service here is unfortunately nonexistent.
