The evening campfire had a fun, social feel, with music and a chance to meet other travelers after a day out. Dinner and breakfast were Arabic-style buffets and tasted good. Captain’s Desert Camp is right among the red sand and mountains, a great base for desert exploring, sunset, and stargazing. There are several room styles, from traditional tents to cave-like rooms and panoramic tents, all with private bathrooms. Many reviewers found the rooms clean and well equipped, and I found the desert stay comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just keep in mind it's a camp, not a luxury hotel: some guests mentioned basic facilities or areas that could be cleaner, and daytime temperatures can be hot. For the Wadi Rum experience, I thought it was worth it, with a good blend of comfort, culture, and adventure.

That sunrise the next morning was breathtaking, and the tents were comfortable. Dinner was delicious, too. The evening fire, traditional food, and Bedouin music made the stay feel really special. From the start, everyone on the team was friendly and went out of their way to help. The camp is beautiful, tucked into the desert with a peaceful atmosphere and gorgeous views. It was the highlight of my trip.

Waking up to complete quiet was the part I remember most. The camp is almost ideally placed, only about 100 meters from the paved road, so any car can get there. Mustafa, the camp manager, was super friendly. Our safari drive ran a little over two hours and ended with a sunset stop. I'd book a room with bathroom facilities.

The room rating is the weak spot for me: Deluxe gets 0/10, though I haven't tried Panorama or the Bubbles. Service and staff get 10/10, food and drinks 9/10, and parking 10/10 with lots of space. The camp is easy to find and reach, but the view isn't anything special.

There’s lots of room in the lobby and guest gathering area, and the music and atmosphere were great. Food and service were excellent, and the staff were very friendly. Great camp, I'd definitely return.
