Rummana Camp

We wished we'd stayed longer. The mountain setting is peaceful, with fascinating rocks, great views, and plenty of lovely walks. Our tent was comfortable, and there was lots of tasty vegetarian food. We also loved the campfire, tea, and all those beautiful stars. Abdullah and the team looked after us so well, helping with our questions beforehand and taking great care of us during the stay.

Kids have room to run around and explore here, which makes it very family friendly. From the parking lot, it's a five-minute drive down to camp, and the educational signs are helpful.

The trails are beautiful and well organized, and dinner was great. It's open from March to November, and outside summer I'd bring a hot water bottle for the night. Some tents could use maintenance, especially the zippers, and a bench or a few more touches along the trail would be nice. I'd recommend it for active hikers.

We came for a day hike, and the place was super clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the toilet and shower area smelled fresh, better than I'd expected. We got the small lunch between hikes for 5 JDs per person, and there was easily enough for more than one adult. Next time we're in Dana, we'll stay at the camp.
