Orbit Camp

Dinner was good, but I paid 100 JOD for the night and don't think the stay was worth it. Other guests had paid 40 JOD, which seemed closer to what was offered. The two-hour jeep tour was mostly waiting around, with only about 20 minutes of actual driving, and the desert sunset didn't impress me. There wasn't much of a Bedouin experience, and people couldn't speak English. One person was Bangladeshi and another Egyptian. Mosquitoes were a real problem, and the camp is near a road that gets a lot of traffic at night.

Sleeping under the stars was such an amazing experience. The rooms were good, and I came away with wonderful memories.

Rashed drove us, and he's a 10-star person. We went on safari during the day and again at night to see the stars. In the middle of the desert, we made a fire, drank tea, and watched the sky. We stayed in a bubble tent, and the hosts were really nice. Dinner was food cooked in the ground. It was a magical day, and we felt great. I recommend it to everyone.

The clean room was a plus, but the lighting could be better. Food choices were very limited, the lamb was overcooked, and breakfast fell short of what I expected. There wasn't a fire set up at night, which is usually an important part of a desert camp stay. I wasn't satisfied with the experience and wouldn't return, especially with other places offering a much better stay, even one worth coming back to.
