Esperanza Petra

When one of our friends got sick, the owner went out of his way to find her medicine. He also shared advice on getting around Petra and gave us a map. He was extremely kind. The rooms were great and very clean, and breakfast was exceptional with a gorgeous view. We loved staying here, especially with the Visitor’s Centre within walking distance. Highly recommend!

The owner is super nice, and there’s a small supermarket on the ground floor. Our room was very clean, and the breakfast room on the top floor has an amazing view. It’s a great value hotel within walking distance of the Petra entrance.

We really made the most of our time here, especially since the staff let us relax in the lounge after checkout. They gave us invaluable advice on planning our two days of exploring and what scams and rip-offs to watch out for. That friendliness is why this is an easy five stars. Our room was spacious, with an ensuite bathroom, a big shower, and a bidet. Breakfast was abundant, and after sunrise the view of the surrounding mountains was breathtaking. We stayed two nights and had a great time. The location meant we didn’t have too far to walk after all the walking in Petra, and there’s a useful little supermarket next door for picnics and cravings. Highly recommend!

The owner kindly explained what would be best to do during our day in Petra. Breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace with a lovely view. Our room was spacious and clean, and the hotel is right beside the Petra entrance.
