Nonna Aisha B&B

It felt quiet and homey here, with tidy rooms, excellent service, and a breakfast that really stood out. We spent two nights here while visiting Petra and the surrounding area. Definitely a good place to stay when you're heading to southern Jordan.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including vegan options and fresh fruit, and a hot shower was possible in the morning. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Heating can be expensive in winter, so bring warm winter pajamas. I mention it because of other reviews: if you want winter heating in your room in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern accommodation, choose a 5-star hotel. The location has a lovely backyard garden and a view over the city. After the evening hike back from Petra, a car would be useful. Yusef picked us up and showed us good places to eat. Before we visited the Petra monument, all the directions we were given were very helpful. This place touched my soul. You get a knowledgeable spirit guide as a special extra. Thank you, Yusuf, for your kindness. Nonna Aisha took good care of us, and I hope to return soon.

Yousef made sure I had a great stay, helped me plan my time in Petra, and even gave me a hand with plans for my next destination. He's an absolute super host. Nona Aisha is an amazing place, and I'd highly recommend it to travelers looking for more than somewhere to sleep.

The house felt perfect, with good wifi, easy to find, and well placed for reaching Petra by car or with a 15-minute walk. We loved the clean, functional rooms, and probably had the best shower of our lives. The common area is a dream, with its big wooden table and huge sofa. The kitchen is available to guests with all its amenities and local products, plus water, tea, and coffee, which made for amazing breakfasts. It was easy to meet people there and have great conversations. Yousef is a pure soul and an open encyclopedia. We could listen to him for hours as he shared his experiences, culture, and advice. Nonna Aisha and Yousef's sister were also so kind to us. Being here felt like being at home, and meeting Yousef was like meeting a longtime friend. The people made the place feel surreal, warm and pure, so rare to find. We extended our stay because leaving was hard. We're so grateful we got to stay and meet Yousef, and can't wait to come back!
